broke my right ankle playing indoor soccer
was getting stoked to get my frame back from getting fixed and powdercoated and i guess that is in no rush to get built up.
maybe i can screw a cleat into the walking boot and click in - its gotta be better than sitting on my arse for at least 6 weeks

Duuuuuude?!
Stop playing soccer, its really bad for your ankles. I played for 9 years and my ankles are trashed now. I have to ride with high tops on braces on.
Heal up fast man. Get a copy of the freecaster WC dvd and focus on bikes and recovery =]

i'm probably stupid enough to actually enter and race...the trouble comes when my wife finds out that i did
when i tested the boot out in the street, normal pedalling is fine in terms of the up and down pressure. The problems start when everything twists....so assuming i dont take any sharp right turn and need to plant a foot or anything i would probably be ok. that and i just got my frame back from getting fixed and powder coated so i need to build it up. i'll post pics soon.

gid - that xray looks nasty. i have had some biodegradeable screws in my foot and a pin they took out, but that just looks downright scary. my ankle is all good now...too bad i went over the bars about two weeks ago and drove my shoulder straight into the ground. still tender, but no way i'm missing the northstar race this sunday. its amazing how getting older wears your body down that much more....still won't stop me from trying, but no doubt i wear all my pads now.
