Trail Work at JMP, March 8
Sunday, February 24, 2008 @ 5:12 pm

BCTEB

March 8th | 9:00am
Joaquin Miller Park

BTCEB will be hosting a Park Beautification Day & Volunteer BBQ in Joaquin Miller Park. Meet at 8:30 a.m.at the Ranger Station for coffee, pastries & orientation. Trail work starts promptly at 9 a.m. Stick around for fabulous BBQ in the Main Meadow immediately following! We hope to turn out a broad community of park users for a fun, rewarding day of trail work.

We’ll work on pulling invasive Broom, clearing out of drainage dips, re-armouring soft spots, and basically sprucing up this great park. Volunteers are critical to keeping these budget-crunched parks pristine and enjoyable. As you may now the JMP Trails Working Group is still developing a master plan for the park and it’s important that cyclists stay involved in the process and show our support in the park. JMP has the only legal singletrack in the East Bay and is a great example for multi-use on narrow trails, for all open space jurisdictions, with low conflict and accident-free trails. BTCEB will supply the tools. Bring gloves, water, and sturdy shoes. Heavy rain cancels. Please RSVP Caryn: ckralovansky@yahoo.com.

~Thanks to all the hard work from the Bicycle Trails Council of the East Bay~
